The murals shown below were commissioned by Barclays Bank D.C.O. and the Royal Bank of Canada respectively, and located in Georgetown Guyana, South America.
The mural which was commissioned through architects H. McGreid and Associates, took two years to complete including planning, overseas research and historical local research. Surface preparation, canvas preparation and final installation onto concrete surface follow traditional methods.
The Barclays Bank dome mural "The Builders" acknowledges those whose contribution played an important part in the development of Guyana. Celebrated Guyanese artist supported this installation.
The mural "Tribute to Sugar" commissioned by the Royal Bank of Canada was the initial painting to start what has become a major collection of Guyanese art owned by what is now the National Bank of Industry and Commerce Ltd, Georgetown Guyana.
